The Dodge Charger has always been a good choice in a muscle car for the average consumer. Starting in 1964 it has always been a great symbol of power and performance. 57 years later, the Dodge Charger still hold true to its reputation.
2021 Dodge Charger Trim Level Descriptions
2021 Dodge Charger SXT
The first trim level of the new Charger is the SXT trim. Even though this is the “base” trim, it still provides a lot of features. The SXT offers a 3.6L V6 delivering 292 horsepower to the rear wheels along with an 8-speed automatic transmission and dual exhaust. This trim also comes with your standard antilock braking assists, traction control, push button start, power steering, electronic stability control and touring suspension. The exterior of the SXT comes with LED headlights, seamless LED racetrack taillights, gloss black grill, 17 x 7 inch aluminum wheels and a rear view camera. The inside of the charger is a nice place to be as well. The seats are comfortable along with a eight-way power driver seat and a leather wrapped steering wheel and shift knob. You can also use the 7 inch touchscreen for Apple CarPlay and Android Auto which offers some luxury with the performance under the hood.
2021 Dodge Charger SXT AWD
This trim level is quite similar to the previous one however the little extra amenities make t worth the extra dollars. For instance, it comes with All Wheel Drive, better suspension, performance steering wheel, and a sport mode. The engine and transmission is slightly upgraded as well, boosting the horsepower output to 300 and adding paddle shifters. The wheels get upgraded to 19 x 7.5 inch aluminum wheels. The center screen is sized up to an 8.4 display with up to one year of SiriusXM Guardian Connected Vehicle Services.
2021 Dodge Charger GT
This trim level is close to the SXT AWD trim however it is RWD which in turn makes it cheaper. It comes with the same 300 horsepower engine and 8-speed transmission with paddle shifters. It also keeps the sport mode and adds other performance packages like Super Track Pak and Three-mode Electronic Stability Control. The exterior is well upgraded with a sleeker grille, 20 x 8 inch wheels, and a functional hood scoop. The touchscreen remains the same 8.4 inch display but the seats are now cloth trimmed performance seats to go with the performance steering wheel.
2021 Dodge Charger GT AWD
The GT AWD is very similar to the regular GT but the All Wheel Drive system allows it to be driven more reliable in all seasons. The All Wheel Drive also helps with performance, allowing it to get off the line quicker for a faster 0-60 time. Engine and transmission are the same as the previous but the suspension is the normal duty suspension instead of the performance suspension. Exterior and interior have all of the same features as the regular Rear Wheel Drive GT trim.
2021 Dodge Charger R/T
This trim level is where the charger starts to get even more exciting. This one includes the profound 5.7L HEMI V8 producing 370 horsepower, 395 lb-ft of torque and an active exhaust. It also comes with a high-output 8-speed transmission with steering wheel mounted paddle shifters. It has the same wheels and tires as the GT but it does include HEMI and R/T badges. The speedometer also increases to a maximum of 160 mph.
2021 Dodge Charger Scat Pack
Dodge decided for an extra $4,000 they would throw a special engine in the 2021 Dodge Charger Scat Pack. This trim level gets the 392 cubic inch, 6.4L HEMI V8 delivering an impressive number of 485 horsepower and 475 lb-ft of torque. The brakes are now black, 4 piston Brembo brakes which accommodate the high performance suspension, anti spin rear differential, and launch assist. The performance grille is one of the upgrades they made to the exterior along with wider tires (20 x 9 inch wheels) and a deck lid spoiler. The seats are now more performance oriented with Scat Pack embroidery logos. The Scat Pack gets a heated steering wheel, 180 mph max speed speedometer, and SRT configurable drive modes.
2021 Dodge Charger Scat Pack Widebody
The Widebody trim compliments the regular Scat Pack with adaptive suspension, special Widebody aerodynamics, and 6 piston Brembo breaks for the front. The fender flares add 3.5 inches of overall width which means you can fit fatter tiers underneath. This trim level runs 20 x 11 inch aluminum wheels with 305/35ZR20 performance tires on the outside. The steering wheel is also leather wrapped and flattened at the bottom to accommodate the performance shift indicator.
2021 Dodge Charger SRT Hellcat
This trim level is second from the top but don’t let the trim rankings fool you. This beast could put you back in your seat real quick. It’s supercharged 6.2L HEMI generates 717 horsepower and 650 lb-ft of torque fitted to the high-output 8-speed transmission. The supercharger, which already makes a beautiful sound, can push out 11.6 psi of boost. All that pairing up with the same wide tires as the Scat Pack and upgraded steering push this car from 0-60 in 3.8 seconds. The exterior is outfitted with SRT Hellcat badging, a new grille and larger hood scoop to feed the supercharger. You can even be comfortable while you blast down the drag strip. Interior upgrades include vented leather seats, heated front and rear seats, leather wrapped shift knob and 200 mph max speedometer.
2021 Dodge Charger SRT Hellcat Redeye Widebody
The top Dodge Charger trim level comes with all the bells and whistles you could ask for. It is the most insane Charger ever assembled. It has the same engine as the regular Hellcat but it makes 797 horsepower and 707 lb-ft of torque instead. The supercharger also makes an extra 2.9 psi of boost with two dual stage fuel pumps. This overly powered monster will go 0-60 in 3.5 seconds also.
